I lead the end to end management of excess 3,000 asset fleet, driving efficiency, compliance and innovation. Managing a team of 25 across five workstreams, I oversee everything from roadworthiness and insurance to supplier relationships.
CMI Level 5 Operations Management and International CPC Manager qualified, I combine hands on leadership with sharp analytical skills to deliver results. Passionate about road risk reduction, safety and sustainability, I’ve delivered 20% insurance cost savings, implemented new technology to enhance compliance and reduce road risk, and driven continuous improvement through smarter processes and robust policies and procedures.
I have been in the automotive industry for more than 40 years, it all began in 1983 when I started an Engineering Apprenticeship at Land Rover. I qualified as a Experimental Vehicle Engineer working on Future and Special Vehicle development.
When I left Land Rover I began my career in the Contract Hire and Leasing industry. I went to work for Ryland Fleet Hire, who over time evolved into what is Arval in the UK today. I stayed there for just under 14 years after working in many different operational roles before becoming Head of Vehicle Remarketing.
I left Arval and helped set up a new Contract Hire business; Agility UK. I left after 2 years and took a Global Role at Masterlease group. My role within the group was to work with the Asset Risk departments in multiple countries within the group; they were the UK, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Greece, Mexico and Australia. I was responsible for implementing processes and ensuring best practice within the Asset Risk department in each of the countries so as to improve business performance.
I left after 4 years and spent around 6 months working for Ally Financial Services before joining Glass's in December 2010.
